NYU LUNG TRANSPLANT FELLOWSHIP

The NYU Langone Health Lung Transplant Program began five years ago and since then has performed over 300 lung transplants. Currently, our program is ranked by the SRTR as one of the top programs in the USA by outcomes and volume (>75 transplants over the last two consecutive years). Our program currently has the fastest wait time to transplant in the country and 1-yr survival of 94.5%.  As part of the NYU Langone Transplant Institute, we are also the primary team for several multi-organ transplants including Lung-Liver, Lung-Kidney and Heart-Lung Transplantation. We have a cutting-edge program that includes bridge to transplant with advanced technologies and transplantation of highly sensitized recipients. Also, we have an active donor utilization program working with state OPO's in providing guidance for the management of both DCD and DBD donors. Most importantly, we pride ourselves on taking excellent personalized care of our patients and strive to give them an exceptional quality of life and extended survival.
