2022 ATS-APCCMPD-PEPTDA Clinician Educator Forum  

The ATS, APCCMPD, and the Pediatric Pulmonary Training Directors Association (PEPTDA) are pleased to host a joint Clinician-Educators’ Forum at the ATS 2022 International Conference in San Francisco, California.  The session will feature discussions on best practices in teaching and strategies for improving education in a variety of settings as well as the presentation of the 2022 Innovations in Fellowship Education Award.  Program directors, key clinical faculty, clinician educators, and fellows who are interested in developing their teaching skills are welcome. The forum will be co-chaired by Drs. May Lee and Kristin Burkart.

 

Topics will include:

  • Effective Teaching in a Clinic Setting - Janae Heath, MD, MSCE & Zach Reese, MD
  • Differences Between Coaching and Mentoring Lekshmi Santhosh, MD & James Frank, MD 
  • Teaching About Race and PFTs - Tristan Huie, MD
  • Innovation in Fellowship Education Award Winner
  • Best Practices in Hybrid Learning - Beyond the Pandemic- Mirna Mohanraj, MD
  • Using Qualitative Research Techniques in Education Research - Ben Nelson, MD
