The Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors was created to facilitate excellence in clinical and research training in pulmonary and critical care medicine. It provides a vehicle for communication among all training program directors and various organizations which deal with training of pulmonologists and critical care medicine specialists. It monitors and responds to developments in training, accreditation, credentialing, manpower, financing, and other issues affecting programs in pulmonary and/or critical care medicine.
Become a Member
Membership is open to all ACGME-accredited pulmonary, critical care, and pulmonary/critical care medicine programs.
Member benefits include:
- The right to vote for the election of Directors/Officers and on all matters pertaining to the general affairs of the Association.
- Qualified for election or appointment as Directors/Officers of the Association or as chairpersons of any committees.
- The right to participate in and receive such Association services, communications and publications, and other such member benefits as the Board of Directors may specify.
- Reduced registration fees for attendance at the annual spring conference.
- The ability to meet with the Residency Review Committee (RRC) at the annual spring conference.
- Significantly reduced fees to administer the Pulmonary/Critical Care and/or Critical Care In-service Exams to your fellows or incoming residents.
- Ability to apply for APCCMPD grant and award opportunities.
- Opportunities for your fellows to participate in professional development activities.
- Access to Program Director tool box, sample curriculums, past course and meeting slides and handouts.
- Ability to disseminate job opportunities to all ACGME-accredited pulmonary, critical care, and pulmonary/critical care medicine programs.

- Non-ACGME-accredited Program Dues - $50
Important Notice:
Beginning with the 2009-2010 dues year, any ACGME-accredited program that wishes to participate in APCCMPD-sponsored activities, but does not pay their yearly dues, will be considered a nonmember. This means that nonmembers may have limited access to certain member benefits and will pay higher fees to attend the annual spring training program directors course. In addition, nonmembers will not be authorized to meet with the Residency Review Committee (RRC) at that time.
