Advanced Lung Transplant Fellowship Position

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is soliciting qualified applicants for a one-year clinical fellowship in lung transplantation to commence in July 2019.  The successful applicant will have board certification in Internal Medicine and have completed a minimum two years of training in Pulmonary Medicine.  As a recently developed training program, the lung transplant fellowship at The Ohio State University is dedicated to providing a superior educational experience to its trainees.  Ranked 21st in the nation for number of lung transplants performed in 2017, the OSU program offers ample exposure to the myriad challenges facing transplant patients.  Clinical mentoring is provided by six transplant pulmonologists and two thoracic transplant surgeons who possess abundant expertise in both adult and pediatric lung transplantation thus allowing for an enriched training experience.  In addition to gaining expertise in clinical management and transplant related procedures, fellows in our program will pursue a transplant-focused research or quality improvement project, and are offered graduate level courses which include immunology, biostatistics and experimental design.
